Simon Tyszko’s
Suicide Bomber Barbie Has been exibited widely throughout the world since it was first shown at The London Institute of Contemporary Arts august 2002.
The work has been praised as the the most acutely observed post 911 Artwork and continues to be an internet meme to this day.

This will be the first and only time the work will be offered for sale only within in this strictly limited edition of 1000 units each priced at £1000 to achieve the iconic One Million Pound figure.

The Works will be tradable and index linked and as such can be considered both a financial Instrument and ongoing Performance of the Work*

Tyszko's work frequently examines and critiques the systems of capital and commodification within the Artworld and the wider Body politic, challenging both laws and political systems in works of agitation propaganda, including using real cocaine to criminalise his bourgeois collectors.

*This sale will be considered as a performance, as will the transfer of funds and further trading of the Artworks in the secondary Art Markets. Trades will be monitored and be a performance of the Artwork in progress. Subsiquent sales will be subject to percentage points returning to the originating Arts Foundation and the documentaion of such will be published online and in edition book form.
